Calling all Harry Potter fans! Get paid to be a wizard! Well, sort of. If you haven’t heard by now, there is a new Harry Potter mobile game launching and it looks pretty damn cool. Bark.com are looking for people to act as professional players and help advance other players’ games. And the pay is not too shabby at all. Especially considering you’re getting paid to essentially play a video game…
So, if you know your Hagrids from your Horcruxs and if you know your Weasleys from your Voldermorts then this is a perfect job for you.
The game
Harry Potter Wizards Unite launched on Friday 19th June in the UK, and launched in the US on the 18th. Similar to Pokemon Go, players use their smartphones to navigate real world locations with the game’s augmented reality, and will have to complete tasks as a member of the ‘Statute of Secrecy Task Force’.
The game will include familiar faces from the hit book and film franchise, however the game follows a completely new storyline, where the player must help reign in the magical world after the ‘Calamity’. Aka unknown forces leaking secrets to non-magical people, or ‘muggles’. Tasks will include defeating Death Eaters, finding magical items and catching magical creatures, which involves the player visiting different sites, at different times of the day. The game will also generate different tasks depending on the weather and phases of the moon.
The Job
Bark.com is recruiting professional Harry Potter Wizards Unite players to help players who simply do not have the time to unlock all of the game’s achievements, and expect demand to be high based on similar services. That’s pretty much it. Since the game is one of those that requires a lot of time input in order to advance, the job will simply mean playing the game a lot!
You will have to play a certain amount of hours, which is what you’re paid for. But you may also have to play at a specific time of day, or achieve certain goals.
Pay
The website says £20, but since you can set your own rate, you could make more than this.
