Money Giveaway: The cost of living crisis is really getting people down now. With a record number of people taking on second jobs and people frantically googling ‘quick ways to make cash’, we at MoneyMagpie have again decided to put our hand in our pocket and offer some help to readers.
Last year we offered you all a chance to get your hands on a no strings attached free £5 and over 300 of you entered.
Therefore we are again offering 20 readers £5. There are no strings attached at all. Simply comment on the article with what you would spend the fiver on, and then in two weeks, 20 people will be selected to win the money.
MoneyMagpie founder Jasmine Birtles says: ‘It really doesn’t feel much in the greater scheme of things, but if it helps a few people then we are more than happy to step in. We have had a record number of people writing in and asking us how to access quick cash, and in reality there aren’t many ways that are safe to the consumer. Therefore we just wanted to offer them a chance. We are strongly against gambling so didn’t want our readers to go there, therefore it’s simply cash.’
So, as stated above, for your chance to get your hands on a fiver, just answer ‘what would you spend an extra fiver on this month?’ in the comments below. The comments will close at midnight on August 1, 2023.
We will notify the winners on August 2, 2023.
Good luck. We look forward to hearing your answers.
I would put it in a piggy bank and keep adding any extra little bits of money that came my way in the hope that it would grow until I could do something big with it – like pay off a debt or an unexpected bill.
Thanks
Amazon, I need a new fire stick so it would go towards that
Mine would be going towards my food shop at Tesco.
I’d treat me and my boyfriend to a nice coffee out!
I’d use the fiver for a Friday after school treat for my son 🙂
id spend it on christmas cake
Lunch box treats for the kids
I’d put it towards topping up my gas meter, every little helps in these uncertain times
I would buy my cats some little food treats.
I’d spend it on a few stocking fillers for my daughters
