Money Giveaway: The cost of living crisis is really getting people down now. With a record number of people taking on second jobs and people frantically googling ‘quick ways to make cash’, we at MoneyMagpie have again decided to put our hand in our pocket and offer some help to readers.
Last year we offered you all a chance to get your hands on a no strings attached free £5 and over 300 of you entered.
Therefore we are again offering 20 readers £5. There are no strings attached at all. Simply comment on the article with what you would spend the fiver on, and then in two weeks, 20 people will be selected to win the money.
MoneyMagpie founder Jasmine Birtles says: ‘It really doesn’t feel much in the greater scheme of things, but if it helps a few people then we are more than happy to step in. We have had a record number of people writing in and asking us how to access quick cash, and in reality there aren’t many ways that are safe to the consumer. Therefore we just wanted to offer them a chance. We are strongly against gambling so didn’t want our readers to go there, therefore it’s simply cash.’
So, as stated above, for your chance to get your hands on a fiver, just answer ‘what would you spend an extra fiver on this month?’ in the comments below. The comments will close at midnight on August 1, 2023.
We will notify the winners on August 2, 2023.
Good luck. We look forward to hearing your answers.
I would spend it on a book for my son Ben
I would spend it on yummy food from M & S Plant Kitchen range. Good food makes me happy! It really is the little things in life 🙂
I would go to the barber. My wife has been doing home haircuts since lockdown. She thinks she is really good at it, and carrying on will save us money. I think a more professional cut would be preferable!
If i got a fiver i would get a some cookies
I’d put it towards my art therapy course to help my clients
I would put it towards, my Grandsons Christmas present, in Australia, he would some dressing up costumes.
I would put it towards my energy bills.
So I can get some treats for my senior nurse wife’s A&E dept she is in charge of by night who is running with an 8 hrs backlog most nights.
I’d spend £5 on a small bunch of flowers for my partner
I would treat myself to buying lunch out whilst at work, rather than eating the grotty sandwiches I make myself in the morning!
