Money Giveaway: The cost of living crisis is really getting people down now. With a record number of people taking on second jobs and people frantically googling ‘quick ways to make cash’, we at MoneyMagpie have again decided to put our hand in our pocket and offer some help to readers.
Last year we offered you all a chance to get your hands on a no strings attached free £5 and over 300 of you entered.
Therefore we are again offering 20 readers £5. There are no strings attached at all. Simply comment on the article with what you would spend the fiver on, and then in two weeks, 20 people will be selected to win the money.
MoneyMagpie founder Jasmine Birtles says: ‘It really doesn’t feel much in the greater scheme of things, but if it helps a few people then we are more than happy to step in. We have had a record number of people writing in and asking us how to access quick cash, and in reality there aren’t many ways that are safe to the consumer. Therefore we just wanted to offer them a chance. We are strongly against gambling so didn’t want our readers to go there, therefore it’s simply cash.’
So, as stated above, for your chance to get your hands on a fiver, just answer ‘what would you spend an extra fiver on this month?’ in the comments below. The comments will close at midnight on August 1, 2023.
We will notify the winners on August 2, 2023.
Good luck. We look forward to hearing your answers.
I would buy some items for my local foodbank
I would spend it on petrol for my car, I need my car for health reasons and the extra £5 would help me get around!
I would buy a game from the charity shop to play with the kids at home!
I would buy a couple of herb plants that I could use to add healthy flavours to home-cooked food
My Irish Mammy is 95 years old in November 2023, I cannot afford the price of a postage stamp anymore, the card is cheaper
Therefore winning a Fiver .
Would stamp my problem away!!!
With a birthday coming up, I’d spend it on some quality insoles for my shoes. I know how to spoil myself!
I would spend it on essential food or maybe top up my electric meter with it.
I’ve just got into baking, so I’d spend it on some baking ingredients.
Seeds for next year’s vegetable garden
I’m allergic to most cheaper shampoos so £5 would help but the ones I trust.
