Money Giveaway: The cost of living crisis is really getting people down now. With a record number of people taking on second jobs and people frantically googling ‘quick ways to make cash’, we at MoneyMagpie have again decided to put our hand in our pocket and offer some help to readers.
Last year we offered you all a chance to get your hands on a no strings attached free £5 and over 300 of you entered.
Therefore we are again offering 20 readers £5. There are no strings attached at all. Simply comment on the article with what you would spend the fiver on, and then in two weeks, 20 people will be selected to win the money.
MoneyMagpie founder Jasmine Birtles says: ‘It really doesn’t feel much in the greater scheme of things, but if it helps a few people then we are more than happy to step in. We have had a record number of people writing in and asking us how to access quick cash, and in reality there aren’t many ways that are safe to the consumer. Therefore we just wanted to offer them a chance. We are strongly against gambling so didn’t want our readers to go there, therefore it’s simply cash.’
So, as stated above, for your chance to get your hands on a fiver, just answer ‘what would you spend an extra fiver on this month?’ in the comments below. The comments will close at midnight on August 1, 2023.
We will notify the winners on August 2, 2023.
Good luck. We look forward to hearing your answers.
Either in Wilkos for cleaning items or towards much needed bed linen
Some food!
Hi I would give it to my partner she’s a full time teacher and struggling and has to depend on food banks occasionally (we don’t live together) to help feed her two boys
I would visit Wilkinson’s on the high street, and choose some vegetable and herb seeds for the garden. They have lots of choice at good prices, and the £5 prize would help us to grow our own food, and reduce our carbon footprint.
I would find something decorative and interesting on Ebay for my new home
Treating my good friend to a cup of coffee somewhere nice to cheer her up. She is divorced, lived on her own for many years, and is really struggling financially at the moment. She also has quite a few health issues. A small treat might make her feel a little better.
Hmmm hard one! Probably seeds for next years veggies but I want to say CHOCOLATE!
Pay it towards my huge gas and electricity bill
A tub of posh ice cream, I need a treat!
croissants for my autistic son and my daughters favourite cereal and milk
