Money Giveaway: The cost of living crisis is really getting people down now. With a record number of people taking on second jobs and people frantically googling ‘quick ways to make cash’, we at MoneyMagpie have again decided to put our hand in our pocket and offer some help to readers.
Last year we offered you all a chance to get your hands on a no strings attached free £5 and over 300 of you entered.
Therefore we are again offering 20 readers £5. There are no strings attached at all. Simply comment on the article with what you would spend the fiver on, and then in two weeks, 20 people will be selected to win the money.
MoneyMagpie founder Jasmine Birtles says: ‘It really doesn’t feel much in the greater scheme of things, but if it helps a few people then we are more than happy to step in. We have had a record number of people writing in and asking us how to access quick cash, and in reality there aren’t many ways that are safe to the consumer. Therefore we just wanted to offer them a chance. We are strongly against gambling so didn’t want our readers to go there, therefore it’s simply cash.’
So, as stated above, for your chance to get your hands on a fiver, just answer ‘what would you spend an extra fiver on this month?’ in the comments below. The comments will close at midnight on August 1, 2023.
We will notify the winners on August 2, 2023.
Good luck. We look forward to hearing your answers.
I need a new Bathroom tap which is broken. I’d put it towards that please.
If given the opportunity to spend 5 pounds, I would choose to donate it to a local charity or organization that supports causes close to my heart. There are numerous charitable initiatives that work tirelessly to improve the lives of others, such as supporting underprivileged children, providing meals for the homeless, or aiding environmental conservation efforts. By contributing my 5 pounds, I can help make a positive impact and assist those in need within my community. Through acts of kindness and generosity, even a small amount can go a long way in bringing about positive change.
Food!
I would treat my family to something nice to eat that i canr afford normally like beef or lamb
I would spend it on my heat card to top up my meter which is always low
ice cream!
I would hit the reduced section at my local shop.
I spend in Greggs buy coffee and sandwitch.
I would love to buy some fresh fish to enjoy at home – its so healthy but unaffordable for us at present.
I would go to my local garden store and buy some of their reduced vegetable plants for growing through the summer and autumn.
