Money Giveaway: The cost of living crisis is really getting people down now. With a record number of people taking on second jobs and people frantically googling ‘quick ways to make cash’, we at MoneyMagpie have again decided to put our hand in our pocket and offer some help to readers.
Last year we offered you all a chance to get your hands on a no strings attached free £5 and over 300 of you entered.
Therefore we are again offering 20 readers £5. There are no strings attached at all. Simply comment on the article with what you would spend the fiver on, and then in two weeks, 20 people will be selected to win the money.
MoneyMagpie founder Jasmine Birtles says: ‘It really doesn’t feel much in the greater scheme of things, but if it helps a few people then we are more than happy to step in. We have had a record number of people writing in and asking us how to access quick cash, and in reality there aren’t many ways that are safe to the consumer. Therefore we just wanted to offer them a chance. We are strongly against gambling so didn’t want our readers to go there, therefore it’s simply cash.’
So, as stated above, for your chance to get your hands on a fiver, just answer ‘what would you spend an extra fiver on this month?’ in the comments below. The comments will close at midnight on August 1, 2023.
We will notify the winners on August 2, 2023.
Good luck. We look forward to hearing your answers.
If it would stretch to a bottle of Heinz Tomato Ketchup and Salad Cream then I would be happy because I am running low on both.
I would buy a great big box of chocolates for the doctors and nurses at East Surrey Hospital who recently got BOTH my elderly parents through pneumonia.
Thank you.
I would donate it to Lucky Hedgehogs Rescue East Yorkshire, they are amazing, doing so much to help our prickly friends!
I would by some more pegs for my washing.
I would buy some hemp powder as I make my own porridge using flaxseed, chia seeds, oats, cocoa, mixed dried fruits and nuts and hemp powder. I ran out of it a couple of days ago so the £5 would enable me to buy a packet. I have Long Covid and it’s my healthy easy daily meal.
I would use it to buy myself a pair of sunglasses for all the summer sun we are having.
I would use it to get things for my wife who’s been in hospital for the last five months.
A takeaway treat
I would use it on the Too Good To Go app to get even better value for money.
We havent been away for years, but are going with my daughter, son in law and my 2 grandchildren, in October. So would put it towards getting my grandchildren Icecreams while we are away.
