Money Giveaway: The cost of living crisis is really getting people down now. With a record number of people taking on second jobs and people frantically googling ‘quick ways to make cash’, we at MoneyMagpie have again decided to put our hand in our pocket and offer some help to readers.
Last year we offered you all a chance to get your hands on a no strings attached free £5 and over 300 of you entered.
Therefore we are again offering 20 readers £5. There are no strings attached at all. Simply comment on the article with what you would spend the fiver on, and then in two weeks, 20 people will be selected to win the money.
MoneyMagpie founder Jasmine Birtles says: ‘It really doesn’t feel much in the greater scheme of things, but if it helps a few people then we are more than happy to step in. We have had a record number of people writing in and asking us how to access quick cash, and in reality there aren’t many ways that are safe to the consumer. Therefore we just wanted to offer them a chance. We are strongly against gambling so didn’t want our readers to go there, therefore it’s simply cash.’
So, as stated above, for your chance to get your hands on a fiver, just answer ‘what would you spend an extra fiver on this month?’ in the comments below. The comments will close at midnight on August 1, 2023.
We will notify the winners on August 2, 2023.
Good luck. We look forward to hearing your answers.
A big bag of pick and mix for my son!
i could grab a late dinner from this place downtown i have been dying to try but i am almost always 5£ short
I’d buy as much Fruit, Veg, Cheese and Milk as I could for £5 from the Supermarket and freeze it, there is so much you can freeze nowadays, and you only have to look on the Internet for help if you are unsure of anything!
i would spend it on food
To treat my great nephew when he visits with his parents this summer
Cheese. This has now become a luxury food item, so I’d buy a really good cheese and eat it mindfully, really enjoy it.
Honestly I need money to close my debt, support me
Use for a treat for my son. I don’t have enough so anything would help
I’d spend the money on a coffee and tea cake at my local cafe. It’s been ages since I’ve had an outing, or even a little treat!
Toiletries.
