Money Giveaway: The cost of living crisis is really getting people down now. With a record number of people taking on second jobs and people frantically googling ‘quick ways to make cash’, we at MoneyMagpie have again decided to put our hand in our pocket and offer some help to readers.
Last year we offered you all a chance to get your hands on a no strings attached free £5 and over 300 of you entered.
Therefore we are again offering 20 readers £5. There are no strings attached at all. Simply comment on the article with what you would spend the fiver on, and then in two weeks, 20 people will be selected to win the money.
MoneyMagpie founder Jasmine Birtles says: ‘It really doesn’t feel much in the greater scheme of things, but if it helps a few people then we are more than happy to step in. We have had a record number of people writing in and asking us how to access quick cash, and in reality there aren’t many ways that are safe to the consumer. Therefore we just wanted to offer them a chance. We are strongly against gambling so didn’t want our readers to go there, therefore it’s simply cash.’
So, as stated above, for your chance to get your hands on a fiver, just answer ‘what would you spend an extra fiver on this month?’ in the comments below. The comments will close at midnight on August 1, 2023.
We will notify the winners on August 2, 2023.
Good luck. We look forward to hearing your answers.
I would take my kids out to the park and buy them each an ice cream!
I would spend it on food and other groceries
id use it towards my carer bills that keep getting higher or to buy cold meat n salad onions to eat.
Probably spend my £5 on milk and a loaf of bread
I would donate it to charity
I would save it in my ISA account.
I would donate it to a local cat rescue that I support. Run by volunteers, every single penny that is donated directly benefits the cats, whether by buying specialist recovery food or paying the vet bill. A £5 donation would just make the cost of living a little easier for this group that is constantly battling financially, emotionally and mentally.
I’d buy an extra Too Good To Go bag 🙂
Sugar for this season’s Jam making, and veg seeds for the next crop of lovely home-grown veggies.
snacks for a summer day out with my niece and nephew!
