Money Giveaway: The cost of living crisis is really getting people down now. With a record number of people taking on second jobs and people frantically googling ‘quick ways to make cash’, we at MoneyMagpie have again decided to put our hand in our pocket and offer some help to readers.
Last year we offered you all a chance to get your hands on a no strings attached free £5 and over 300 of you entered.
Therefore we are again offering 20 readers £5. There are no strings attached at all. Simply comment on the article with what you would spend the fiver on, and then in two weeks, 20 people will be selected to win the money.
MoneyMagpie founder Jasmine Birtles says: ‘It really doesn’t feel much in the greater scheme of things, but if it helps a few people then we are more than happy to step in. We have had a record number of people writing in and asking us how to access quick cash, and in reality there aren’t many ways that are safe to the consumer. Therefore we just wanted to offer them a chance. We are strongly against gambling so didn’t want our readers to go there, therefore it’s simply cash.’
So, as stated above, for your chance to get your hands on a fiver, just answer ‘what would you spend an extra fiver on this month?’ in the comments below. The comments will close at midnight on August 1, 2023.
We will notify the winners on August 2, 2023.
Good luck. We look forward to hearing your answers.
Put it towards gifts for grandkids we are going to see this year
I’d like to treat my dog to a new toy, he’s always supporting me with no words, just pure unconditional love and we’ve had to cut back on spending for him so this would be amazing!
I would spend it on food essentials.
I would spend it on a charity lottery; even if I didn’t win it would go to a good cause but if I did win…
I would put it towards a book I’ve been desperate to read. What a treat!
Some seasonal fruit like cherries or raspberries. they are so dear , I usually deny myself.
Purchase a small potted plant or a fresh flower to bring some greenery or beauty into my living space to aid my mental health.
I think I would probably put it towards groceries too but since it is an unexpected gift, I would also buy 2 or 3 things to give to my local foodbank who are struggling to cope with the demand.
a copy of stray cat strut IV a cyberpunk novel on amazon
Some treats from Tesco would be lovely x
