Money Giveaway: The cost of living crisis is really getting people down now. With a record number of people taking on second jobs and people frantically googling ‘quick ways to make cash’, we at MoneyMagpie have again decided to put our hand in our pocket and offer some help to readers.
Last year we offered you all a chance to get your hands on a no strings attached free £5 and over 300 of you entered.
Therefore we are again offering 20 readers £5. There are no strings attached at all. Simply comment on the article with what you would spend the fiver on, and then in two weeks, 20 people will be selected to win the money.
MoneyMagpie founder Jasmine Birtles says: ‘It really doesn’t feel much in the greater scheme of things, but if it helps a few people then we are more than happy to step in. We have had a record number of people writing in and asking us how to access quick cash, and in reality there aren’t many ways that are safe to the consumer. Therefore we just wanted to offer them a chance. We are strongly against gambling so didn’t want our readers to go there, therefore it’s simply cash.’
So, as stated above, for your chance to get your hands on a fiver, just answer ‘what would you spend an extra fiver on this month?’ in the comments below. The comments will close at midnight on August 1, 2023.
We will notify the winners on August 2, 2023.
Good luck. We look forward to hearing your answers.
I would spend it on my weekly milk, veg and fruit.
2 Euromillions tickets
I WOULD BUY MY MUM SOME FLOWERS, SHE IS SO SUPPORTIVE OF ME AND MY COMPLEX NEEDS, SHE DESERVES IT X
I would pay for my next Zumba class.
I would buy my wife a bunch of flowers for being so kind and generous to everyone around during the pandemic
I’d buy some pasties or some soup for a few homeless people i’ve seen around where I live.
What a great prize. I’d put it towards my bus journey to work. Thanks!
Congratulations, Stella, you’re one of our lucky winners. Please can you reply with your email address and we will email you about your prize.
I would put the £5 towards a joint of meat (a treat for us these days) and then for once my family and I could have a proper traditional Sunday Dinner. Thank you.
I think I might just buy a couple of lottery tickets or scratch-cards. My Grand-daughter usually buys one every two weeks and amazingly she has either won her ticket money back or at least £10/£20. So I might just try to double or treble this fiver and then I’ll put it towards my energy bills. lol.
I would put the £5 towards a meal out for my husband and I
at our local carvery.
