Money Giveaway: The cost of living crisis is really getting people down now. With a record number of people taking on second jobs and people frantically googling ‘quick ways to make cash’, we at MoneyMagpie have again decided to put our hand in our pocket and offer some help to readers.
Last year we offered you all a chance to get your hands on a no strings attached free £5 and over 300 of you entered.
Therefore we are again offering 20 readers £5. There are no strings attached at all. Simply comment on the article with what you would spend the fiver on, and then in two weeks, 20 people will be selected to win the money.
MoneyMagpie founder Jasmine Birtles says: ‘It really doesn’t feel much in the greater scheme of things, but if it helps a few people then we are more than happy to step in. We have had a record number of people writing in and asking us how to access quick cash, and in reality there aren’t many ways that are safe to the consumer. Therefore we just wanted to offer them a chance. We are strongly against gambling so didn’t want our readers to go there, therefore it’s simply cash.’
So, as stated above, for your chance to get your hands on a fiver, just answer ‘what would you spend an extra fiver on this month?’ in the comments below. The comments will close at midnight on August 1, 2023.
We will notify the winners on August 2, 2023.
Good luck. We look forward to hearing your answers.
I’d spend it on some chocolate and tea bags!
If I was lucky enough to win £5 I would definitely put it towards my food shopping
I would probably get some candles
Buy some candles so that I’m prepared in case we have power cuts over the winter.
I’d buy a couple of new novels from The Works. Best prices on books, and cheap entertainment. We have cut down on our entertainment outgoings so new books are always a treat.
meat
If I was a lucky winner I would buy a Scratchcard in the hope that my luck would continue.
I would buy something for my mum, she’s working so hard but doesn’t have much left for any treats.
A packet of mince and some veg to batch cook a Shepherds Pie to last a couple of meals!
for my granddaughter
