    I’ve been put on furlough but how does this affect my pension? Will my employer legally still have to contribute or will I potentially end up losing months worths of contributions?

    From what I can see on my online banking I am still being charged so the system mustn’t have caught up yet. Will definitely give them a ring and see if they can refund the charges though, thanks.

    Hi Sam, I should be receiving 80% of my pay but haven’t had any updates yet on when I will be paid. I only started the job a few months before COVID-19 hit so I’m just worried that when it all calms down I’ll be made redundant or lose my job because the events company will be low on funds and have a lack of work so they won’t need me.

    Hi Annie,

    Thanks for the help there. Will have to see whether the flight goes ahead in a couple of weeks but I will look into what was covered as I was following FCO advice for British citizens abroad to get home as soon as possible. Will be good to have a look at it.

    When I was still in Australia I tried to get in contact with the airline a couple of times but was told that they were only dealing with people who had flights within the next 72 hours so obviously no luck there but I will give them another try, thanks.

    This is a good question and I’d be interested to know what the advice is as taking the payment holiday now to guarantee you’ll be safe is tempting.

    Thanks for the info here! I was wondering how this would be affected too as my partner has become self-employed but only within the past year but good to hear it should all be okay.

    Is there a similar option to a credit card freeze but with paying utility bills? Worried I won’t be able to afford to pay them upfront over the next few weeks.

    That’s ridiculous. Surely they can’t legally be asking people to be working the same or more hours for much less pay.
