I also received an email from Barclays telling me overdraft charges were suspended. Good to know.

This is true, hiring a recruitment agency, finding the right people and starting all over again isn’t ideal. Especially if you’ve already got the right people.

Does anyone know what those of us waiting until June can do to get by? I imagine Universal Credit is out of the question as we’re still technically employed.

We also have had some similar treatment booked. They told us to trust them and that all will be rearranged when life returns to normal. We’re happy to go along with this rather than chasing the refund, as annoying as it is.

We saw our local shop nearly completely sell out of alcohol when it was reported that Marshall Law prohibits the sale of booze. People stocking up were met with some very judgemental looks. I confess I bought a 12 pack to enjoy in my garden on sunny days. Totally non-essential, but surely it’s perfectly reasonable?

If the flight were in June or July would it still need to be cancelled I wonder? I know any flights in May are likely to be cancelled but I wonder if things will return to normal by then? Or at least a semblance of normality? Or should we all prepare to chase a refund regardless. I suppose all we can do is wait and see.

I read that this money isn’t paid until June. Is that right? And if so, how are we expected to survive when furloughed? We can’t sign on in this scenario.
