If you’re feeling a bit low or unwell or lonely it can be hard to do all the things you would usually expect to be able to do at this time of year.
So don’t do them.
Or just do some of them.
Basically, be kind to yourself this month (and through the winter) and don’t let yourself be pressurised. We’ve got to be easy on others too – particularly those we live with or are close to. That way we’re more likely to keep relationships going strong.
Frankly, I think the only way we will get through this lockdown, and the financial issues people are predicting for the near future, is to support each other and work together.
I know that sounds Pollyanna-like but it’s genuinely true. When times are tough it really is a case of ‘United we stand, Divided we fall’. It’s hard to keep going on one’s own at the best of times – and this is not exactly the best of times!
We need to share as much as possible: share our time, our resources, our knowledge, our food and so on. You’ve probably worked that out for yourself already, but I thought I’d mention it anyway :)
